Welcome to Tennesse History Day!

Tennessee History Day is the state affiliate of National History Day. It is an educational program that engages students in grades 6-12 in the process of discovery and interpretation of historical topics. Students produce dramatic performances, imaginative exhibits, multimedia documentaries, interpretive websites, and research papers based on research related to an annual theme. These projects are then evaluated at local, state, and national competitions.

Students, teachers, and parents are encouraged to use this blog to post questions you may have about your History Day project. I will do my best to answer them in a timely manner.

You should also return to the website to view updates about what is happening in the History Day world!

Coming soon...ideas to think about regarding this year's theme: The Individual in History: Actions and Legacies.
